1. There's no KDM jewels in the mkt now.
2. BIS Hallmark jewels are only to be sold by jewelers.
3.Check the embossing of Hallmark emblem, Year of mfr, Hallmark serial no, mfr's name and purity viz 916 on the jewelry . Use a jewelry 10x magnifying glass to check the above details. 
4. 916 means, out of 100gm jewelry, 91.6 gm is gold and the remaining 8.4 gm is other metals mixed with virgin gold. This is called 22karat gold jewelry. 
5.You can insist the seller to have the jewelry checked in a computer based Karrotometer for verification of purity and demand the Analysis Report generated by the Karrotometer.
6.The rate per gm for all purity is daily fixed online by the Bullion Market at around 11AM except on Saturdays & Sundays.
7.There's absolutely no wastage of gold while making jewelry. Hence no wastage charges is to be paid.
8.Making charges @Rs.150 to Rs 300 per gm according to the design is to be paid in addition to the actual gold cost.
9. Stones weight if any is to be deducted from the actual wt of the jewelry.
10. If stones are chargeable, that has to be paid in addition.
11.On the total cost, CGST & SGST is to be paid as per govt tariff.
12. Always obtain a original Invoice with GST number printed on.
13. Avoid taking petty things offered by jewellers in the name of gift. If insisted, ask the shop to deduct the cost of freebies from the invoice.
